Because EGW machines this plunger tube from solid stainless steel, it delivers superior strength and durability compared to thin or soft alternatives. As a result, it resists loosening, bending, and wear during heavy use.

Designed for a Secure, Professional Installation

Before installation, lightly relieve the inside of the frame at each plunger tube hole using a .030″ relief cut. This step allows the staking pins to flare properly. For best results, use an air grinder with a small ball cutter.

Next, test-fit the plunger tube to confirm proper alignment. Make sure the tube seats flush against the frame before proceeding. This step ensures smooth operation and prevents binding of the plungers.

Proper Staking for Maximum Holding Power

When installing the plunger tube, apply Red Loctite 271 to maximize retention. First, add a drop of Loctite primer to each pin. Then, apply a few small spots along the tube body. This combination dramatically increases holding strength and long-term reliability.

After that, secure the frame in a vise using protective paper between the jaws and the frame. On the opposite side, place a Delrin support block to prevent damage. Finally, use a Delrin Plunger Tube Staking Tool to stake the pins evenly and securely without marring the frame.
