TMC 1911 Trigger Track Stone
Precision ground to fit inside the trigger bow frame ways; polishes out the manufacturing burrs and rough edges that interfere with trigger bow movement. Made of premium aluminum oxide impregamented ceramic for fast cutting action that quickly imparts a very smooth surface. The TMC 800 grit stone will provide the smoothest surface within your trigger bow slot, for the lowest friction, which will provide the smoothing trigger movement. Truly essential to achieving a light, crisp, trigger.

TMC 1911 Hammer Slot Stone
Precision ground to provide an exact fit for smoothing the inside surface between the frame tangs and the hammer and sear pin areas on a 1911. Since the thumb safety hole, and hammer and sear pin holes are normally the last steps in the manufacturing process, small ridges normally formed during the drilling around the holes. These ridges result in additional friction of the hammer and sear movement. Polishing out this area with a fine 800 grit stone will reduce the friction and provide the smoothest hammer and sear movement. Made of premium aluminum oxide impregamented ceramic for fast cutting action that quickly imparts a very smooth surface. The TMC 800 grit stone will provide the smoothest surface within the hammer slot area, for the lowest friction, which will provide the smoothing trigger movement. Honing Oil – 2 Fluid Ounces
TMC’s honing oil is a specially formalated fine quality honing oil. Specifically compounded for keeping stones clean and free cutting. Reduces honing time and increases stone life. A great honing oil to use with our Trigger Track Stone, Hammer Slot Stone and Mainspring Housing hones.

This set is an absolute must have if you want to do a trigger job. I didnt use this on a new build. I used it on a production gun with cerakote inside the entire frame of the gun.
I didnt think I was going to need them. I couldnt feel any burrs or sharp edges with a plastic tool. But you really dont know just how small a burr that can effect performance can be until you use this set.
Smoothed the trigger track which you can feel in the stone when its done smoothing it out. A very tactile feel that changes when the stone is finished doing its job.
The hammer slot stone was where I realized just how much of a lifesaver this set is. I had no idea how much my hammer was being slowed down by slight imperfections. Again with a little oile on the stone this thing added an extra 2 feet of air time on my flying pencil test. When everything is under tension the springs can make you think everything is running smooth.
Then you use this stone and it becomes very apparent this is an essential stone. Also worked quite well at deburring other areas and breaking edges without leaving any burrs on things. Just a stellar kit that makes it easier to get the results you want without being too aggressive or not enough. Its really the goldilocks of stone sets. They are just right. And the price for this kit is less than you would spend on a single stone from many other manufacturers. Just get it. You will never regret your choice.

KEEP THE STONE’S WORK SURFACES WELL LUBED, DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE PRESSURE AGAINST THE STONE, JUST BE PATIENT & LET IT DO WHAT IT WAS DESIGNED FOR.
