TMC 1911 Hammer Slot Stone
Precision ground to provide an exact fit for smoothing the inside surface between the frame tangs and the hammer and sear pin areas on a 1911. Since the thumb safety hole, and hammer and sear pin holes are normally the last steps in the manufacturing process, small ridges normally formed during the drilling around the holes. These ridges result in additional friction of the hammer and sear movement. Polishing out this area with a fine 800 grit stone will reduce the friction and provide the smoothest hammer and sear movement. Made of premium aluminum oxide impregamented ceramic for fast cutting action that quickly imparts a very smooth surface. The TMC 800 grit stone will provide the smoothest surface within the hammer slot area, for the lowest friction, which will provide the smoothing trigger movement. Truly essential to achieving a light, crisp, trigger.

WHEN THE SIDES OF THE HAMMER, SEAR, & GRIP SAFETY MOVE BACK & FORTH INSIDE THE FRAME, BOTH THE FRAME & SIDES OF THE PARTS NEED TO BE VERY SMOOTH BECAUSE THEY MAKE FRICTIONAL CONTACT WITH THE FRAME.
