Kart Xact Fit barrels have been designed so that an average person can fit them with only a few hand tools.  Perfectly fit a barrel to a 1911 in about an hour.  The Kart system utilizes the Kart Installation Kit (sold Separately) to provide stable, consistent lock-up in any 1911.  This translate into repeatable accuracy wthat will improve the performance of any 1911.

The Kart barrel is forged from ordnance steel to strict, national match specs; rifled by a proprietary technique that holds lands and grooves to exceptionally close tolerances and leaves the surface finish mirror smooth. Air gauged to maintain .0002″ tolerance through the bore.    Feed ramps are throated for wadcutter ammo. Standard Barrel – Non-ramped, oversize hood, top and bottom lugs to achieve an exact fit for optimum match accuracy. Ramped Barrel – Fully supports the case head; gives direct feeding from magazine to chamber.

Requires fitting for installation – barrel hood length and raised pads at locking grooves have extra material to allow for fitting.

Kart intends that this barrel and bushing is fitted with the use of the Kart Xact Fit Installation Kit.

Bushing has been prefit to barrel.  Bushing should fit 1911 slide with little or no fitting if the slide is at .699″ plus or minus .003 inches (standard dimensions for a 1911 bushing opening)?
