EGW 1911 Trigger – Flat w/ Tank Treads
Upgrade your 1911 with the EGW Slotted 1911 Trigger featuring aggressive tank-tread serrations. EGW redesigned this 1911 trigger to deliver reliable performance and a cleaner, stronger feel. It avoids the problems caused by traditional over-travel screws, which often loosen and stop the pistol from firing.
No Over-Travel Screw Issues
Many shooters adjust their over-travel screw expecting a lighter pull. However, on a 1911, the screw only limits trigger movement. When turned in too far, it blocks rearward travel, prevents the hammer from falling, and actually adds weight to the pull. EGW eliminates this issue by removing the screw entirely. As a result, the trigger runs smoother and stays consistent.
Built With Videki-Standard Quality
This trigger uses bows made on original Videki dies, a long-respected benchmark in 1911 triggers. The trigger face is almost flat with a slight radius. This design places the serrations directly under the center of your finger. You get better feedback, more control, and a consistent feel—even when you draw fast or place your finger slightly high or low.
Stronger Trigger Bow Attachment
EGW secures the bow with both a mechanical stake and red Loctite. If one method ever fails, the other keeps the bow locked in place. The company tested the joint by twisting the bow from straight up to straight down with pliers. The stake never moved. This means your trigger stays solid under stress, hard use, or competitive shooting.
Made for Easy Fitting
The trigger shoe is slightly taller. This gives gunsmiths more room to achieve a perfect fit, especially in frames that are out of spec. As a result, installation becomes smoother and the final fit feels more precise.
