EGW Short Gold Cup 1911 Trigger – Serrated
Improved Trigger Design
EGW redesigned the Gold Cup 1911 trigger to eliminate the common problems caused by over-travel screws. Many shooters adjust these screws hoping to change trigger pull weight. However, the screw only controls travel, not weight. When turned in too far, it blocks rearward movement and prevents the hammer from falling. It can even make the trigger feel heavier. Because of this, EGW removes the screw entirely and delivers a more dependable design.
Built for Single Stack Pistols
This trigger fits single-stack 1911 pistols only. EGW uses trigger bows produced from original Videki dies—long considered the industry standard. The face remains nearly flat with a slight radius, and the centered serrations give your finger better feedback and control.
Consistent Feel and Strong Construction
Even if your draw places your finger higher or lower than usual, the trigger still feels natural. To secure the bow, EGW both stakes it and applies red Loctite. As a result, the bow stays locked in place even under extreme testing. EGW has twisted these bows from straight up to straight down without any movement at the stake point.
Enhanced Fit for More Frames
The taller trigger shoe provides extra material, allowing gunsmiths to fit it properly even in frames that sit slightly out of spec. This ensures a snug, reliable fit in more Colt-pattern 1911 frames.
Gold Cup Specific Fit
This model is engineered specifically for the Colt Gold Cup, giving owners a precise, purpose-built upgrade that enhances feel and performance.
