Cy linder and Slide’s Ultimate 45 ACP 1911 Extractor is the only extractor that is made from the correct spring steel called out by the military print. Every Ultimate Extractor is Rockwell tested to insure correct heat treatment. The Ultimate Extractor is not only heat treated it is Austempered for maximum wear resistance.

I have tried every extractor known to man. This is the ONLY extractor that I feel beyond setting the tension is designed to work without fail. I had several issues of failures to feed even during manual cycling. So I read and watched videos on this one. And I took my existing extractor out and reshaped it to be like this one. And it improved feeding so much that I decided to scrap a very high end extractor for this one.
Its a very underrated part. I like that its made of spring steel. With many tool steel extractors Ive used when setting the tension the thing wont bend until it just bends too much. And setting tension to the perfect amount is difficult.
This unit you follow the manufacturers instructions and lay it ont he jaws of an open vice, and a couple healthy taps and it moves and you can constantly check for proper fitment and get it perfect without overshooting your tension.
Unless you are hammering on it like thor, you will find its almost impossible to overshoot your desired tension. I want to buy more just because im afraid one day they wont be available. But I cant say enough good things about this product.
