This set includes a .150 – 50TPI (Grip Screw), a .236 – 60 TPI (Standard) and an .255″ – 60 TPI (Oversize) high speed steel tap.  These are quality 3-Flute High Speed Steel taps and are used for 1911 Grip Bushings and grip screws but perfect for any other application requiring this size.  Storage case is included.
The grip screw tap is used to clean a dinged up or cross threaded grip bushing so you don’t have to replace the grip bushing 

The TMC oversize tap is used to cut .255-60 threads in a 1911 frame for repair (oversized) bushings, when the standard threads in a frame have been stripped.The TMC standard tap is used to clean up and cut .236-60 threads in a new frame.
